The UR Career Pathways program focuses on placing individuals in high-demand positions, and then supporting them by identifying a career pathway within the University, leading to opportunities for growth and higher earning potential.

UR Career Pathways provides employees with support, services, and tools to help advance their careers.
UR Career Pathways program expectations and eligibility requirements
UR Career Pathways supports eligible employees with upfront tuition costs if required as a qualification for a designated high-demand position. When a position requires an academic degree or other formal education, the University supports associated tuition fees with direct payments to the educational institution—even when the desired position is not related to the employee’s current job.

The focus of the UR Career Pathways program is on helping current employees begin a new career pathway in a high-demand position. Individuals who have already been accepted into an academic degree program are not eligible to participate.
Individuals represented by collective bargaining agreements receive benefits in accordance with those agreements.
